Otakon 2003

Otakon is always the best!

We left for Baltimore on Thursday evening,
1) coz we were gonna spend there the whole weekend,
2) coz a few of us had a press badge to pick up.
Thank God for that Press Badge by the way!! Not only we didn't pay the fee (50 bucks),
but also we always had the chance to skip lines, which means the registration line too!!!
Guys, if you have a chance to get one... Do that!

Day 1 was cool: I cosplayed as Gackt and I had TONS of fun with the other J-Rock cosplayers.
Friday night was spent taking dirty pictures with Kyo, Shinya, Kamijo and the others ^^;;;
Oh God, that was so much fun!!!! I wish there were more Jrock cosplayers at Italian cons!!!!!!
Both more Jrock and Gothic Lolita cosplayers, not always animeanimeanimeanime and not always the SAME anime anyways!!!!
Hehehehe, I particularly love Jrock cosplayers ^^;;
Speaking of Jrock, I saw a really cool Jrock video by Psycho Le Cemu on Friday night,
at the Jrock Videos Show! Too bad they started having probs with the sound after a while and I had to leave coz ya know...
watching a video without the sound is not the best thing in the world ^^;;;
I didn't attend many panels and workshops this year actually... I mainly hung around videotaping (that's why I don't have many pictures) and waiting for my friends,
looking for my friends, getting lost while looking for my friends... ya get the idea.
Something which is both a downside and an upside at the same time is Otakon is HUGE.
You looking for a certain friend? Forget it, you'll never find them! Or you'll probably find them when not looking for them. ^^;;;
Sadly I skipped the Mystery Anime Theater too, coz I went dancing with Kyo and the others in the ballroom on the first floor^^
It's so great to go dancing after a busy con day!
The main event of Friday night is the fire though. ^^
We left Otakon at 1 o'clock or something like that and we went to sleep.

Day 2 was spent pretty much in the same way, except that I went to TMR's concert!
I was told he sux but... NO WAY!! I had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!! Damn he's so cool, I loved him!!!!!!!!!!! Plus he sang my fav song twice!!!!!
Oh God, I really had tons of fun, I'm so glad I got to see him, and for free ^^
He's a very nice guy, he seemed even shy during his interview... so cute ^^ So huggable!!!! *squeezes TMR*
But he's so awesome on stage!!! God, he has such a powerful voice, I really had a blast! I know a lot of people dont like him, but I dont give a damn! YAY for TMR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sadly I couldn't get his autograph coz he was signing official merchandising only ;___; Which really sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, the line was so long anyways!! ^^;;;
I cosplayed as Alexiel on Saturday and I got so many pictures taken!! So glad!! I even got glomped a few times, which is always a good thing

On day 3 I finally got to go to the Dealers Room.
Actually I was kinda pissed off that I hadn't had a chance to go there yet (as I wrote, I wasted a lot of time for silly things like getting lost while looking for my friends ^^;;;).
Fortunately it wasn't all sold out by the time I finally got to go there, but still!!!!
I bought the Gothic Lolita Bible (YAAAAAAAAAAY!! SO COOL!!!!!!!!), a super cool Toshiya poster, a couple of other j-rock pictures (jeez!! j-rock stuff is soooo expensive!!!), Tidus action figure (10 bucks) and three super-cute pins (Auron, Chii, and Homura!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Holy crap, the guy selling that stuff was so freaking cute!!!!
I HAD to keep going back and buying stuff from him, hadnt I? ^^;;;;;;; I wanted to glomp him but he was behind the table..
Hahahaha, glompageness and signs are what I like the most about Otakon!!!
People with signs are so freaking funny!!!!!!!!! The best was this one guy with a sign with written "I have a sign too!"
Oh God!
And I was so glad to meet Kelly!!!!!!!!!! *mega hug for Kelly-chan*
Oh gawd, I love American otakus!!!! yay for American Otakus!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okie, that's all I can think of. There would be much more to tell, but this is my Otakon report.
